3 Major Benefits of Investing in a Heated Hose for Your Worksite

Laurie Washington

If you rely on water from a hose every day on your worksite, then you have to worry about freezing temperatures. That won't be the case if you invest in a heated hose. Investing in a heated hose can benefit you in the following ways.

1. Save Money

If you use a traditional hose and leave water inside, then when it gets really cold outside, the hose can damage and break apart. You can then no longer use it and will have to spend money on a replacement.

You don't have to worry about this at all when you just purchase a heated hose from the beginning. The heating elements inside will keep the hose from ever freezing, even when water is left inside. You can thus ensure the heated hose holds up for a long time, saving you a lot of money on replacements during the colder months of the year.

2. Added Storage Flexibility

With a traditional hose, you have to be pretty strategic with where it's stored around your worksite during the colder months. For example, you'll probably have to store the traditional hose in climate-controlled space. That might not be possible depending on where you work.

Fortunately, heated hoses give you added storage flexibility. Rather than having to keep it in a special place, you can just keep the heated hose outside or left exposed to the elements. You won't even have to bother draining the hose before leaving it outside.

3. Great For Emergencies

An emergency may come up at work when you need water. For instance, someone around the worksite may get injured and water is needed to clean out the wound. You can't do much during the colder months with a traditional hose.

That's not the case with a heated hose. No matter how cold it gets outside, you'll always be able to get water from the heated hose and use it for emergencies. That should give everyone around the worksite more peace of mind because water will always be readily available.

Having water readily available from a hose is important for a lot of companies and operations. If this sounds like something that could benefit your team, then it's a good idea to invest in a heated hose. Not only are these hoses durable, but their heating elements ensure the hoses can always be used no matter what the temperatures are like outside.

Industrial Equipment: Now and Later

Take a look around at the industrial equipment in your facility. Hopefully it is all working and in good shape. If you want to keep it that way, you will need to provide it with the proper care. Every machine has somewhat different maintenance requirements, but in most cases, some lubrication and an annual inspection by a qualified repair professional will go a long way. Here's the thing: you can't be in this industry without the right equipment. So rather than spending more on new equipment, it is wise to care for the stuff you've got.
